Raised in New York City and the Catskill Mountains in upstate New York, Candace began her career in the late 1980’s in New York City. Something in her knew Nashville was her next stop.

Candace moved to Nashville in 1993, and began co-writing with many of Nashville’s finest tunesmiths.

Along with established Nashville artists Kathy Mattea, Suzy Boguss, Pam Tillis and Mary Chapin Carpenter, Candace was profiled cd_coverin the documentary Women in Country Music / Naked Nashville, which continues to be broadcast all over the world.

Her song That Old Car was her self titled CD’s first cut to open doors at US radio. Serviced to 100 domestic stations, That Old Car was also chosen as the opening track for the AFIM’s (Association for Independent Music) first ever Americana compilation alongside Doc Watson, Kenny Butterill, Larry Cordel, Trout Fishing in America and Mary Gauthier to name a few.

Candace has been extremely proud to have her debut project share top 20 listings on the Real Roots Cafe based in Holland alongside a number of her musical heroes and heroines:  Emmylou Harris, Allison Moorer, Steve Earle, Neil Young, and Roseanne Cash to name a few.
